Memorial Day 2022

Happy Memorial Day! As we pause today, we remember those who put on the uniform and gave their lives for this country. I have the highest respect for all veterans.

D-Day, June 6, 1944 is next week. Here, the 101st Airborne Division are about to board the C-47 – whether for training or into combat. It takes a lot of courage to climb into an airplane and trust your fate into a piece of fabric. It takes even more to jump into the dark.

Or take the night battles in the Guadalcanal campaign. Radar was still rudimentary, no drones, or GPS. To sail into harm’s way any way….
